After taking an early retirement buy-out in early 2013, I combined my lifelong passion for guitars, woodworking, and electronics with some amazing training at the American School of Lutherie in Portland, Oregon.
I followed the training with 2 intense years of building both acoustic and electric guitars and setting up and repairing my own instruments as well as those of friends and family, just for the experience.
I opened High Plains Fret Works in 2016, working from my home.
Since then I have been able to setup, modify and repair a wide array of instruments for many appreciative customers.
If your stringed instrument has any type of problem that diminishes your playing experience, call and schedule a time to bring it to me.
There’s no charge for me to take a look and give you my opinion or a price quote.

All work is guaranteed, and your complete satisfaction is my goal.
